BES3 @ EP1



How to install the BES3 TestRelease at the EP1 in Bochum



1. To begin with, insert the following lines to your .cshrc (to be found in your home-directory). 
  setenv PBS_DEFAULT taotao
  setenv PATH ${PATH}:/data/pegasus3/jan/Bes/bin
and type: 
  tcsh

2. Create a directory, e.g. 
  mkdir bes
and move to it: 
  cd bes

3. Add the current release by looking here: 
  less /data/pegasus3/jan/Bes/bin
Choose the release you want to use and type something as 
  createBesRel nameofyourfolder releasenumber
such as 
  createBesRel myBesRelease 6.5.0

4. Type 
  source setup.csh
and move to the release folder, e.g. 
  cd myBesRelease
Add the TestRelease by typing 
  addBesPkg TestRelease
Typing 
  source setup.csh
again would not hurt.


5. Move to 
  cd TestRelease/TestRelease-xx-yy-zz/run/
and type 
  ls
You will see something like this: 
  CVS                          jobOptions_rec_data.txt     jobOptions_sim_psip.txt  pipijpsi.dec    rhopi.dst
  jobOptions_ana_pipijpsi.txt  jobOptions_rec_recdata.txt  jobOptions_sim.txt       rhopi_ana.root  rhopi.rtraw
  jobOptions_ana_rhopi.txt     jobOptions_rec.txt          My                       rhopi.dec
The .dec-files contain decay patterns.
